Canadiens Defenseman Set To Make Season Debut
Montreal Canadiens defenseman Joel Edmundson will be making his season debut during Saturday's contest against the Seattle Kraken.
Edmundson has been out with a serious injury for the entirety of this campaign and has had several setbacks in the process. However, after much determination, the 28-year-old will finally be back on the ice for the Canadiens.
Montreal certainly has missed Edmundson, as his strong defensive play certainly could have been used this campaign. With that, he also had a very solid first season with the Canadiens last year, where he had three goals, 10 assists, and a plus-28 rating. He will now be looking to build off it with the now rebuilding Canadiens.
All hockey fans should be happy to see the veteran defenseman finally ready to return. Although the Canadiens have had a year to forget, this certainly is a bright spot for it.
