Capitals Rookie To Miss Time
Washington Capitals rookie Joe Snively will be out for the next four-to-six weeks. The 26-year-old had a procedure done on his left wrist.
Snively has been off to an excellent start with the Capitals, so it is hard to hear that it now has to be put on pause. In 12 games thus far, he has four goals, three assists, and a plus-3 rating. It seemed that he was making a case for himself to be a mainstay in their lineup, but now the Virginia native will need to recover before doing so.
Snively was also playing very well with the Hershey Bears this season, too. In 35 contents with the team, he had 15 goals to go along with 23 assists. This was the first time that he was producing at over a point-per-game pace, so it's fair to say that he has impressed Washington.
The Capitals currently have a 30-18-9 record and have the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. The Blue Jackets trail them by 10 points, so they are in a good place, but losing another forward still isn't ideal.
