Crouse has career highs in Gs (20), Pts. (34); will be an RFA w/arb rights in July.
GM Bill Armstrong said he's the next guy he'll focus on signing/extending. https://t.co/X1wRXehu4c
If team doctors end up confirming that Crouse's injury is too serious for him to return this year, it would be a rough way for it to end. Although Arizona hasn't had a lot to cheer about, the 24-year-old winger has managed to put together a career season. In 65 games, he has 20 goals and 34 points. Both of these are new career-highs for the 2015 first-round pick.
Crouse was a notable name in the rumor mill this season, but the Coyotes elected to keep him around past the trade deadline. With that, general manager Bill Armstrong noted that his next goal to sign the power forward to a contract extension.
Nevertheless, here's to hoping Crouse's injury isn't too severe, but given the fact that he has a broken bone, it does seem more likely than not that his season is over early.
