Coyotes Forward To Miss Time
Arizona Coyotes forward Antoine Roussel will be out for the next six weeks due to a lower-body injury.
Roussel sustained his injury during Saturday's contest against the Ottawa Senators. Although the Coyotes are obviously out of the playoff picture, it still is hard to hear that the veteran winger has to miss so much time. With his contract set to expire, he also is one of the Coyotes' rental candidates. Thus, this injury is bad timing.
In 47 games this season, Roussel has three goals to go along with three assists. Although he hasn't been dominant offensively, he has been active physically, as he has 65 hits on the year. Overall, he has the ability to be a decent fourth-line forward or even extra forward.
Alas, this injury certainly lowers the chances of Arizona trading Roussel by the deadline. Even if he wouldn't have given them a big return in a hypothetical swap, it still is disappointing for the rebuilding squad.
