Coyotes Forward Traded To Capitals
The Arizona Coyotes have traded Johan Larsson to the Washington Capitals for a 2023 third-round pick.
Larsson is the second forward who the Capitals have acquired this deadline day, as they also added Marcus Johansson from the Seattle Kraken. Like MoJo, he should be a fine addition to their bottom six and provide them with some decent scoring in the process.
In 29 games this season, Larsson has six goals, nine assists, and a minus-3 rating. The 29-year-old is currently recovering from hernia surgery but did return to practice last Friday. Therefore, he is inching closer to returning to game action.
Although this is another smaller addition for Washington, they are improving upon their bottom six. If Larsson can continue to produce at that pace once he's back on the ice, they will certainly be happy with this move.
