Devils To Terminate Defenseman's Contract
New Jersey Devils defenseman Christian Jaros has been placed on unconditional waivers. With this, his contract is set to be terminated.
Jaros was placed on regular waivers earlier this week and went unclaimed. It's apparent that the 25-year-old does not wish to play in the American Hockey League with the Devils organization, so he will now be hitting the open market as an unrestricted free agent. With this, it will be intriguing to see if he lands a deal with another NHL club or opts to go overseas.
Jaros played in 11 games with the Devils this season, where he was held off the scoresheet and sported a minus-4 rating. Overall, it was a pretty uneventful campaign, and he will be aiming to earn a job elsewhere from here.
Nevertheless, it will be intriguing to see what happens with Jaros as he hits the open market.
