Ducks And Wild Complete Trade
The Anaheim Ducks have traded Nicolas Deslauriers to the Minnesota Wild for a third-round pick.
Deslauriers was one of the many rental candidates that the Ducks had heading into the deadline, and now the 31-year-old has found his new home. With this, he will be joining a Minnesota Wild team that is looking to go on a deep playoff run.
Deslauriers will provide the Wild with even more toughness and grit. In 61 games this season, he has five goals, five assists, and 90 penalty minutes. With that, he also has a very impressive 210 hits.
Although this is not a major splash, Deslauriers will make the Wild even more challenging to play against. His style of play is perfect for the postseason, so it ultimately makes sense that Minnesota has decided to bring him in. Let's see what else the Wild do from here.
