Flyers Defenseman Done For The Year
Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher has announced that Ryan Ellis will be out for the remainder of the season.
This isn't the most surprising of developments, as Ellis has been out with an undisclosed injury since mid-November. With that, he only has suited up in four total games on the year. In them, however, he was very effective, as he has one goal and four assists. Perhaps if he was in the lineup all season, the Flyers could have been a little better.
Speaking of the Flyers' struggles, it makes sense that they are sitting Ellis out because of them. There's no need to rush the 31-year-old back, so he should take this time to focus on healing. He's under contract until the end of the 2026-27 season, so he has plenty of time to get back into action.
Nevertheless, here's to hoping Ellis is good to go for the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign.
