Golden Knights' Lehner Could Miss Significant Time
The Vegas Golden Knights are in Buffalo to take on the Sabres in what was supposed to be comeback season for both Jack Eichel and Robin Lehner, but unfortunately for Lehner that's not the case at all. The team announced on Thursday their starting netminder has flown back to Vegas for further testing on what could be a significant injury.
Robin Lehner has been sent back to Las Vegas for “some tests” relating to a lower body injury.

Logan Thompson has joined the team here in Buffalo and Laurent Brossoit will start tonight against the Sabres.
At this point it's been undetermined if it's a knee issue or perhaps the groin which could take a few weeks to recover from. With the Golden Knights being only two points up on non-playoff teams there's certainly a sense of panic hovering over the Vegas strip. Lehner has been solid this season but has toughed it out throughout the season as he's apparently been banged up for awhile now. The team turns to Laurent Brossoit against the Sabres as the former Winnipeg Jets backup now becomes the #1 goalie for the Golden Knights.

Robin Lehner 38 GP - out for a few weeks with injury.
Jacob Markstrom 44 GP - Dan Vladar has started every second game so far in March.
It’s that time of the year where every workhorse netminder is battling something.
As for potential targets, everything is going to come down to the results of Lehner's tests to see just how long he's going to be out of the lineup. If it's confirmed he's going to miss significant time, expect to see the Golden Knights go out and get an experienced starter who has Stanley Cup playoff experience as anything short of a playoff berth will be a huge disappointing in Vegas.
