Help On The Way For Oilers
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is set to return for the Edmonton Oilers when they play the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night.
This is huge news, as the Oilers are currently aiming to cement themselves a playoff spot in the Western Conference. At this point of the season, they are third in the Pacific Division, but the Vegas Golden Knights only trail them by three points. Thus, they need to win far more often than not to stay ahead of them. Nugent-Hopkins should help with that.
Nugent-Hopkins has not played since February 26th's contest against the Florida Panthers. They certainly have missed the 28-year-old in their lineup, but now he is finally getting to return. In 45 games this season, he has seven goals, 30 assists, and a plus-4 rating. Although he hasn't been dominant when it comes to goals, he certainly has been excellent at setting them up.
Nevertheless, this is great news for the Oilers. Let's see how they perform with RNH back in the lineup.
