Kraken Place Forward On Waivers
The Seattle Kraken have placed Austin Czarnik on waivers.
The Kraken originally acquired Czarnik in the same way from the New York Islanders earlier this season. With this being the case, it certainly seems possible that the Islanders could elect to bring the 29-year-old back. He wouldn't have to go through waivers to be sent to the AHL this time around if claimed by them.
In 17 games between the Islanders and Kraken this season, he has two goals and five assists. Overall, he has shown that he can be a good depth forward, as he is capable of producing offensively. With that, he can also be utilized at both center and right wing, so that also heightens his appeal. If the Islanders pass on him, there's a good chance somebody else will take him.
Czarnik has a $750,000 cap hit, so he certainly is a player who is easy to afford. It will be intriguing to see what happens with him from here.
