Maple Leafs GM Pissed Off Over Blackhawks Leaking Trade Details
The Toronto Maple Leafs get more media attention than any other team in the NHL. General manager Kyle Dubas is well aware of this and has done a tremendous job keeping his order of business close to his chest throughout the years. So when Darren Dreger of TSN tweeted out specifics of a trade that fell through between the Chicago Blackhawks and Dubas' Maple Leafs, the GM was frankly pissed off.
Once the trade deadline was complete and Toronto was out of moves, Dubas held media availabilities and was asked about what transpired. Needless to say you can tell he's not happy with Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson. Kyle vs Kyle:
Toronto sees promise in Woll and Kallgren and most definitely, Jack Campbell. It was a massive ask on the futures and potentially a portion of those futures can be used on shoring up Toronto’s D. Turns out…Chicago got a huge return for Hagel from Tampa Bay.

Remarkable moment in our interview with @MapleLeafs GM Kyle Dubas, as @KevinWeekes asked him about leaks out of Chicago on a Marc-Andre Fleury trade. #NHLTradeDeadline @espn

"We rely on other teams to keep that confidential, so it's disappointing." pic.twitter.com/OJMVESEDaf
Kyle Davidson on Kyle Dubas calling him out regarding the leak of the Fleury-Toronto discussions: "I'm aware of his comments and that's something I'll address in private with Kyle."
