NHL Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Brock Boeser Deal
The Los Angeles Kings have over $22 million in projected cap space for next season and could be interested in a variety of different trades as we approach deadline. This also goes for the Washington Capitals as both teams are capable of taking on salary. Speaking of, Brock Boeser and his $7.4 million cap hit next season have been a hot topic of late and Jeff Marek of Sportsnet provides the latest and links the Capitals and Kings as two teams to keep an eye on.
Marek on SN says Brock Boeser will likely go to a team that does not only need goals, help on their PP but that can absorb a QO of $7.4M. Marek throws out the #ALLCAPS & #GoKingsGo as perhaps potential suitors. Marek wonders if there is a VAN/LA marriage on the horizon.

Boeser hit the reset button on his season after Bruce Boudreau took over behind the Canucks bench as the impact of the new coach helped many of the Canucks find their games. After a very slow start the 25-year-old has scored 16 goals in 51 games and has been solid of late recording five points in his last five games. Vancouver sits five points back of the second wild card position and the Dallas Stars hold a game in hand.
The Capitals would be an interesting deal as they have just over $8 million in projected cap space at the moment according to CapFriendly.com. Anytime you have Alex Ovechkin you have a chance to win the Stanley Cup and adding more younger pieces around him to eventual take over is strategical thinking on the part of Caps management if indeed they are pondering the move.
