There have been plenty of rumblings that the Ducks were aiming to sign Lindholm to an extension first. However, the 28-year-old was craving a long-term deal, and Anaheim was hesitant over that prospect. Thus, talks have now ended, and we will see him moved by the deadline.
In 61 games this season, Lindholm has five goals, 17 assists, and an even rating. Overall, he has provided solid offense from the blue line and also has been sound defensively. As a result of this, there will be several teams aiming to acquire him.
Nevertheless, it's clear that Lindholm's time as a Duck is coming to a close.
