NHL Rumors: Penguins Looking To Make Upgrade
According to Pierre LeBrun, the Pittsburgh Penguins are looking to add a top-six winger before the deadline passes.
And more specifically, my sense is Hextall would like to add a top-six scoring winger with term, not a rental. Would prefer the hockey deal route if at all possible. https://t.co/4sDaMmRXHm

This isn't too surprising to hear, as general manager Ron Hextall recently told reporters that he would like to add a forward. This is entirely understandable, as they would benefit from having another goal-scorer in their lineup.
Luckily for them, there are plenty of solid wingers in the rumor mill at this time. Brock Boeser, Conor Garland, Rickard Rakell, Brandon Hagel, and Phil Kessel are all notable forwards who have been talked about.
Kasperi Kapanen has struggled this season, and it's certainly likely that the Penguins would be open to trading him if it gave them an upgrade. Alas, we will have to wait and see if Pittsburgh gets their coveted top-six winger.
