Panthers And Sabres Complete Trade
The Florida Panthers are staying very busy, as they have acquired Robert Hagg from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a 2022 sixth-round pick.
With this move, the Panthers are continuing to add to their current defensive group. Hagg will give them another NHL-caliber option, but it will be intriguing to see if he plays bottom-pair minutes or is designated as their seventh d-man.
Hagg was acquired by the Sabres last offseason from the Philadelphia Flyers in the Rasmus Ristolainen trade. Yet, his time in Buffalo ends after just 48 games, where he had one goal, seven assists, and a minus-9 rating.
Overall, a team can never have too much depth on the blueline for the playoffs, and Florida has gotten just that with Hagg.
