Philadelphia Flyers Sign Defenseman

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed Ronnie Attard to a two-year contract. The deal will start during this campaign.

Attard was selected by the Flyers with the 72nd overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old defenseman just finished this third season with Western Michigan University and put together his best year in the process. In 39 games, he had 13 goals and 23 assists, so it's safe to say that he was very productive from the point.

With this contract beginning immediately, there's a chance that the Flyers could elect to give Attard time with the NHL club right away. With the team completely out of the playoff picture, there is no harm in giving the youngster a chance.

Nevertheless, the Flyers officially have locked up another one of their college prospects.
