Pittsburgh Penguins Sign Prospect
The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed Corey Andonovski to an entry-level contract.
Andonovski just finished his third season with Princeton University. The 22-year-old right winger was receiving several offers from NHL teams but ultimately has decided to sign with the Penguins. That certainly isn't a bad decision by him, as he could one day have the chance to play with legends like Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
In 31 games this season with Princeton, Andonovski had 10 goals, 12 assists, and 34 penalty minutes. He set new career highs in goals and points with these totals, so it certainly was a year to remember for him. Now, it's gotten even better, as he officially has landed himself an NHL contract.
Andonovski will likely begin his professional career with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins before joining Pittsburgh later down the road. Still, though, the Penguins should be happy, as they have signed another prospect.
