Pittsburgh Penguins Sign Prospect
The Pittsburgh Penguins are continuing to add to their prospect pool, as they now have signed Ty Glover to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Glover just completed his second season with Western Michigan University. In 39 games with the team, the 21-year-old center had eight goals and added 13 assists. With that, he certainly played tenaciously, as he racked up 48 penalty minutes on the year.
Glover is a prospect who will require a few years in the AHL before making the jump to Pittsburgh. Yet, with the team currently in very good shape, there's certainly no need for them to rush a prospect like Glover. If all goes well with his development, the 6-foot-3 center's physical style of play could become a solid bottom-six center for them.
Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see how Glover develops from here.
