Red Wings Forward Likely Done For Season
Detroit Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill announced that the team believes Robby Fabbri has a torn ACL. With this, the 26-year-old forward is unlikely to return this season.
Fabbri has been having himself a very solid season this year and earned himself a three-year, $12 million extension because of it. In 56 games on the campaign, he has 17 goals to go along with 13 helpers. However, with this latest development, this is likely where his statistics will end.
Throughout his career, Fabbri has had a lot of trouble staying healthy, unfortunately. He has missed significant time in each of his last six seasons, and now this trend is sadly continuing. However, even with his injury trouble, he has become a very solid middle-six forward for Detroit.
Nevertheless, here's to hoping the team is proven to be incorrect regarding his injury. If not, Fabbri's year is done.
