Washington Capitals To Sign Goaltender
Although the Washington Capitals did not add a goaltender at the trade deadline, they are signing one for the future. According to Elliotte Friedman, the team is set to sign Clay Stevenson to an entry-level contract.

Stevenson just completed his first season of collegiate hockey with Dartmouth College. Although he had a rough 6-14-2 record, a major portion of that blame can be placed on the team in front of him. This is made apparent by his very solid .922 SV% and 2.70 GAA.
With the Capitals' goaltending looking a bit unstable, it makes sense that they are aiming to add prospects like Stevenson to their system. Even if the 23-year-old doesn't make the team for a few years, it'll be good to have plenty of options at the position.
Nevertheless, once this contract is signed, he likely will be joining the team's AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears.
