2 Bruins Who Bounced Back During 2021-22 Season

The 2021-22 season is in its final stages, and it's fair to say that it's been an incredibly entertaining year. One reason for this is that we have seen plenty of players bounce back from rough 2020-21 campaigns. Thus, it feels like the perfect time to shine a light on two players from each NHL team who have done just that. To make this more fun, we will be choosing teams randomly based on a wheel.

In this first piece, we will be discussing the Boston Bruins.

Jake DeBrusk: What a crazy season it has been for Jake DeBrusk. He of course requested a trade after being healthy scratched by head coach Bruce Cassidy. Yet, even with this, he not only stayed put but has found himself a new home on the team's first line. This promotion has done him wonders, as he now has 22 goals and 14 assists in 67 contests. Keep in mind, that he had just five goals and 14 points in 41 games last year, so this turnaround from the 2015 first-round pick has been great to see.

Charlie Coyle: When David Krejci left the Bruins to go back home to the Czech Republic, Charlie Coyle was handed the task of taking over the 2C role. Yet, he ultimately wasn't a good fit for it, and he has since been moved to the third line again. Even with this being the case, he is having himself an excellent bounce-back campaign, as he has 16 goals and 41 points in 72 games. Much better than the 16 points in 51 contests he had last year.
