2 Canucks Could Be Done For Season
While speaking with the media, Vancouver Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau stated that Nils Hoglander and Tucker Poolman could be out for the remainder of the season.
Hoglander is currently dealing with a lingering groin injury. After recording a 27-point campaign in 56 games with Vancouver last season, the 21-year-old has had a typical case of the "sophomore slump" in 2021-22. In 60 contests, he has only 10 goals and eight assists. Yet, if Boudreau's words end up becoming true, the 2019 second-round pick will unfortunately not have the opportunity to end this year on a high note.
Poolman, on the other hand, has been sidelined due to an upper-body injury. Although the 28-year-old only has one goal and two assists in 40 games this season, he has been a solid addition due to his reliable defensive play. Thus, hearing that the 28-year-old could be done for the season certainly is not good news at all.
Nevertheless, with the Canucks trying to get back into the playoff picture, being without Hoglander and Poolman will make that big task even harder to achieve. We will have to wait and see what comes to fruition with them.
