2 Ducks Who Bounced Back During 2021-22 Season
The 2021-22 season is in its final stages, and it's fair to say that it's been an incredibly entertaining year. One reason for this is that we have seen plenty of players bounce back from rough 2020-21 campaigns. Thus, it feels like the perfect time to shine a light on two players from each NHL team who have done just that. To make this more fun, we will be choosing teams randomly based on a wheel.
In this one, let's look at the Anaheim Ducks.
Kevin Shattenkirk: Kevin Shattenkirk's first season with the Anaheim Ducks was a bit underwhelming. In 55 games during the 2020-21 season, he had two goals and 13 assists. Overall, those numbers from him were a bit low, but he has since bounced back nicely this campaign. In 79 games, he has eight goals and 34 points. Overall, that spike in production from the 33-year-old has been nice to see.
Ryan Getzlaf: Although Ryan Getzlaf is retiring after this season, he looks like a player who has plenty more in the tank. In 55 games this season, he only has three goals, but he also has an impressive 33 helpers. Thus, he has looked more like the top-six forward he was during his prime years. Keep in mind, he had just 17 points in 48 games the season before.
