2 Players Set To Return For Jets

The Winnipeg Jets are getting a boost, as Kyle Connor and Nate Schmidt have exited COVID-19 protocol.

The pair missed Winnipeg's last three games due to being in protocol, and it couldn't have gone much worse for the Jets. They only managed to get two out of a possible six points. With this, they now trail the Vegas Golden Knights by six points for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. The Jets do have a game in hand on them, however.

The Jets need to go on a serious winning streak if they hope to have any chance of making the playoffs next month. Getting back Connor certainly has the potential of making them do just that. The 2015 first-round pick has been Winnipeg's best player all season, as he has 41 goals and 41 assists in just 67 games. Getting that kind of production back into the lineup is excellent news for them.

Schmidt, on the other hand, has been putting together a pretty solid year himself. After a disappointing 15-point campaign in 54 games last season with the Canucks, he has bounced back as a member of the Jets. In 66 games thus far, he has four goals and 27 helpers.
