Nashville Predators Sign Prospect
The Nashville Predators have signed Adam Wilsby to a two-year, entry-level contract. It will begin during the 2022-23 campaign.
The Predators selected Wilsby with the 101st-overall pick of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 21-year-old d-man just completed his second full season with Skelleftea AIK of the Swedish Hockey League, where he had four goals and 13 assists in 51 games. Overall, it wasn't a bad season at all for the young defenseman, and he will now be aiming to carry that over to North America.
Wilsby is a player who will need to spend some time in the AHL to develop. Yet, that is entirely okay, as the Predators have a solid defensive group at this juncture. Instead, he could be a player who eventually is a mainstay in their top six later down the road.
Nevertheless, the Predators are continuing to sign their prospects. Don't expect Wilsby to be the last one they lock up before the end of the season.
