NHL Rumors: Blues Star Takes Back Trade Request
According to Andy Strickland, Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko has told his teammates and coaches that he wants to stay in St. Louis.
That is an entirely different stance from what Tarasenko had last offseason. For those who need a refresher, the superstar winger requested a trade from the Blues after two injury-plagued seasons. The Seattle Kraken even decided against selecting him in the Expansion Draft, and boy, did that turn out to be the wrong move for them. It's been excellent for the Blues, however, as he has 32 goals and a career-high 41 assists in 68 games this campaign.
If Strickland's report is true, the Blues should absolutely keep Tarasenko around. He once looks like the superstar he was before his injuries, so why on Earth should they move him if he wants to stay put?
