NHL Rumors: Hurricanes Forward Wants To Stay Put
While speaking with Matt Larkin of Daily Faceoff, Vincent Trocheck openly stated that he would prefer to stay with the Carolina Hurricanes after this season.
Trocheck is a pending UFA who will get a lot of attention if he officially hits the open market. He would be one of the best centers available, so naturally, he would get himself a sweet contract.
It's been another good campaign for Trocheck, as he has 20 goals, 28 assists, and a plus-18 rating. Overall, he is exactly the kind of player teams would love to have as their second-line center. He not only produces offense well, but he also is very good on the penalty kill and of course, power play. With that, he also has a career-high 182 hits, so he has plenty of grit in his game.
Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see if the Hurricanes can re-sign Trocheck. If not, they will have a hard time finding a replacement for him.
