NHL Rumors: Several Teams To Target Top KHL Free Agent

KHL star Andrei Kuzmenko is expected to make the switch to North America for the 2022-23 season. According to Chris Johnston, at least 20 teams are expected to pursue the 26-year-old winger. With that, he also specifically noted that the Vancouver Canucks will be among them.

Kuzmenko put together an excellent 2020-21 campaign, so it makes sense that so many teams are rumored to be interested in him. In 45 games on the year, he scored 20 goals and added 33 assists. Thus, he was a major offensive force, and teams are understandably hoping that he can translate that success to the sport's most competitive league.

It will be intriguing to see who ends up being the eventual winner of the Kuzmenko sweepstakes, but at this juncture, it's apparent that he's going to have plenty of options to select from.
