Penguins Goalie Out Week-To-Week
Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry will be out week-to-week due to a lower-body injury.
This development is concerning for the Penguins. Although they have cemented themselves a playoff berth this spring, it's hard to determine if Jarry will be ready to go for them. If he isn't, Pittsburgh will be without their number-one goalie against what will automatically be a difficult Eastern Conference opponent in the first round.
After a rough 2020-21 campaign, Jarry bounced back in a big way this year. In 56 games for the team, he had a 34-18-6 record, 2.42 GAA, and .919 SV%. These numbers were certainly impressive to see, but it also could be disastrous if he's not ready to go in May.
Nevertheless, this is something to keep a very close eye on as we get closer to the postseason. Here's to hoping he has a very speedy recovery.
