Senators Forward Done For The Season
After leaving Sunday's game against the Detroit Red Wings early, Ottawa Senators forward Tyler Ennis has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Although the Senators aren't preparing for the playoffs, it certainly is hard to hear that Ennis won't be able to return this season. The 32-year-old forward has been a solid addition to their roster and quietly has had a decent campaign. After having only nine points in 30 games with the Edmonton Oilers last year, he scored eight goals and had 16 assists in 57 contests this season.
With Ennis having this kind of season with the Senators, it seems possible that they could try to bring him next season. He showed this year that he can still provide solid secondary scoring. Furthermore, with the team still being so young, it doesn't hurt to have a player with experience around.
Nevertheless, here's to hoping that Ennis is healthy by the time the 2022-23 season begins. That's the case whether he's back with Ottawa or with another club.
