Video: Bruins' Marc McLaughlin Scores In NHL Debut
Marc McLaughlin made his NHL debut for the Boston Bruins during Thursday night's game against the New Jersey Devils. The hometown kid left a very good first impression, as he scored after receiving a nice feed from Trent Frederic.
Due to the fact that McLaughlin is a Massachusetts-native, his family members had no trouble attending his first game. That certainly helped make this great moment for him even more special.
The Bruins quietly signed McLaughlin to an entry-level contract last month. This came after the 22-year-old completed his collegiate career with Boston College. In 33 games during his senior year as team captain, he had 21 goals and 10 assists.
Nevertheless, McLaughlin certainly filled in nicely when called upon. It will be intriguing to see if the team plays him in a more games before the regular season is over.
