Video: Stars' John Klingberg Shoots Puck at Linesman Out of Frustration
Dallas Stars defenseman John Klingberg probably wants this one back. The Stars blueliner was frustrated as hell during their game against the Anaheim Ducks and ended up firing the puck at linesman Vaughn Rody, hitting him directly in the knee.
The play happened on a delayed penalty coming to the Stars and instead of just touching the puck and ending the play, Klingberg decided to fire it along the boards, resulting in the veteran linesman getting smoked.
Apparently it wasn't intentional enough to warrant a penalty as Klingberg was lucky there. He showed some class rushing over to see if Rody was ok and you could tell by the pat on the head, there was no hard feelings. Certainly something you don't see every day:
John Klingberg fired the puck down the ice after a Stars penalty and accidentally hit the linesman in the knee!
