Video: Steven Stamkos Becomes Lightning's All-Time Points Leader
Tampa Bay Lightning history was made during Thursday's contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs. After scoring on a perfect feed from Nikita Kucherov, Stamkos reached 954 career points with the franchise. With this, he has officially passed Martin St. Louis and is now the team's all-time points leader.
Even at 32 years old, Stamkos is not showing any signs of slowing down. In 76 games on the year, he now has 34 goals to go along with 56 assists. The 2008 first-overall pick has simply been a perfect selection from the Lightning, and his career numbers show that perfectly.
Stamkos now has plenty of time to build on his record, too. The star forward is signed until the completion of the 2023-24 season, so he will have no trouble hitting 1,000 career points as a Lightning.
Nevertheless, congrats on this amazing achievement, Steven!
