2 Wild Players Have Surgery
Jared Spurgeon and Mats Zuccarello are both having core muscle surgery. Thankfully for the Minnesota Wild, their expected recovery times are six weeks, so they will be good to go for the start of the 2022-23 season.
Spurgeon just completed his 12th season with the Wild, and it was another solid one for the captain. In 65 games, he scored 10 goals and recorded 40 points. He also played much of this season injured, as he had dealt with this issue since the Winter Classic. Thus, it will be interesting to see what he provides for the team next season while fully healthy.
Zuccarello just put together a career year, as he recorded 79 points in 70 games. The 34-year-old seems to be getting better with age, so he will once again be a very important player for the Wild next season.
