Brad Marchand To Miss Big Chunk Of Next Season After Surgery
Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has undergone surgery for multiple hip injuries, and the recovery time will likely cause him to miss the beginning of the 2022-23 season.
On Friday, the team announced that Marchand "underwent successful hip arthroscopy and labral repair on both hips. The procedure was done by Dr. Bryan Kelly at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY. Recovery time is approximately six months."

Expected recovery time is six months, so that would have Marchand out for most of the first two months of next season.
The six-month timeline takes us to the end of November, almost two months into the start of the regular season in early October.
Marchand has been remarkably durable during his 13-year career with the Bruins, with only two seasons of less than 70 games played since he became a regular in his 2nd season (not including the shortened '20-21 season in which he played all but three games).
This season, the 33-year-old chalked up his sixth 80-point season (pro-rated for '20-21), with 32 goals and 48 assists.
