Bruins Sign 2019 First-Round Pick
The Boston Bruins are having themselves a busy day, as they now have signed Johnny Beecher to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Beecher was selected by the Bruins with the 30th overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, he has played three seasons with the University of Michigan. Offensively, he never really took off, as he had 19 goals and 20 assists in 81 games. However, the 21-year-old still has plenty of time to develop, and he is now ready to take his game to the professional level.
The Bruins are not strong at the center position, so they certainly are hoping Beecher can eventually blossom into a top-six center. We will have to see how the 6-foot-3 center develops from here.
