Capitals Forward To Have Surgery
Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson had surgery on his knee after tearing his ACL. He is expected to need six and eight months to recover, so he will be missing the beginning of the 2022-23 season.
Wilson is a very important part of the Capitals' roster, so his absence is very notable. With the Eastern Conference being so deep, Washington being without of their top forwards to start the season could spell trouble. With that, his degree of physicality will be impossible for them to replace while he's out.
In 78 games this season, Wilson had 24 goals to go along with 28 assists. With that, he also appeared in his first All-Star Game.
