Stars owner Tom Gaglardi admitted that there will be "a long list of coaches that we'll be talking to," and that he's looking for a bit more of an offensive punch for his team.
He also spoke highly of former Vancouver Canucks coach Travis Green, and said they expect to interview him soon.
I think we want to look for someone who is really commited to playing a bit more skilled, play a little faster, and we need to score a little bit more without losing our defensive identity. There’s a long list of coaches we’ll be talking to.
I think Travis has proven that he deserves to be considered, and I expect we’ll be talking to him.
The 67-year-old Bowness decided to step away from the Stars job after the season ended for his team. He took the Stars to the Stanley Cup Final in 2020, and finished with a 89-62-25 record over the course of his three seasons there.
