Hurricanes Goaltender Inching Closer To Return
The Carolina Hurricanes have been without Frederik Andersen all postseason. Yet, the 32-year-old appears to be inching closer to returning, as he participated in team practice on Monday.
If Andersen could return during this postseason, it would be a major boost for the Hurricanes. He just put together a marvelous campaign for the team, as he had a 35-14-3 record, 2.17 GAA, and .922 SV%. With that, he also recorded four shutouts on the campaign.
Thankfully for the Hurricanes, Antti Raanta has been spectacular while filling in for Andersen. At this point of the playoffs, he has a 5-3-0 record, .939 SV%, and 1.86 GAA in nine appearances for the club. Yet, even with this being so, having Andersen available as well would be massive as they continue their playoff run. Let's see if the veteran will be good to go soon.
