Islanders Sign Forward Prospect
The New York Islanders have signed Ruslan Iskhakov to a two-year, entry-level contract.
Iskhakov spent the 2021-22 in the DEL with Adler Mannheim. In 25 games with the team, he scored seven goals and recorded 22 total points. Overall, this was a very solid season, so, understandably, the Islanders are signing their 2018 second-round pick now.
Iskhakov has had a pretty interesting few years, as he has also spent time with the University of Connecticut and TPS of Liiga. Yet, no matter the league, the 21-year-old center has had a decent amount of offensive success in each of them. Let's see if that translates over to the NHL from here.
