Kings Prospect Done In Los Angeles
The Los Angeles Kings are losing one of their prospects, as Johan Sodergran has signed a two-year contract with MODO of HockeyAllsvenskan.
Sodergran's time with the Kings organization was rather short. The 2018 sixth-round pick appeared in only 55 games with the Ontario Reign over two seasons, where he scored five goals and added five assists. During each season, he also was loaned to teams overseas, so perhaps him leaving the organization permanently could have been predicted.
Just because Sodergran is heading back to Sweden doesn't mean a return to North America is out of the question later down the road. If the 22-year-old forward can find success with MODO, perhaps another NHL club could take a shot on him. Yet, for now, he will be playing these next two years with MODO.
