Kraken Sign Defenseman
The Seattle Kraken have signed Peetro Seppala to a two-year, entry-level contract.
With this signing, the Kraken have added another defenseman to their prospect pool. The 21-year-old just completed his fifth professional season with KooKoo Kouvola of Liiga, and it was his best campaign to date. In 57 games on the year, he had eight goals to go along with 21 helpers. This kind of season is likely what sparked the Kraken to sign him to this ELC.
The Kraken are very much still building their roster, so it makes sense for them to give a prospect like Seppala a chance. Although he will likely need more time to develop before making the jump to the NHL, it's never a bad thing for a team to add to their prospect pool. Let's see how the youngster progresses from here.
