NHL Announces 2021-22 Vezina Trophy Finalists
The NHL has announced that Jacob Markstrom, Juuse Saros, and Igor Shesterkin are the 2021-22 finalists for the Vezina Trophy.
After a rough first season with the Flames last year, Markstrom completely bounced back this campaign - hence why he is a Vezina finalist. In 63 games, he sported a 37-15-9 record, 2.59 GAA, and .921 SV%. He was a major reason for Calgary's regular-season success.
Without Saros, the Predators would not have made the playoffs this year. They are missing him immensely right now, as they of course are getting destroyed by the Avalanche in the first round. In 67 games this season, Saros had a 38-25-3 record, 2.64 GAA, and .918 SV%.
The Rangers took a monstrous step forward this season, and Shesterkin was the primary reason why. The clear frontrunner out of the trio, the 26-year-old had a 36-13-4 record, 2.07 GAA, and .935 SV%.
Now, hockey fans, comment which player is your pick!
