NHL Rumors: 2 Golden Knights Likely To Receive Offer Sheets
With the Vegas Golden Knights having serious salary cap problems, restricted free agents Nicolas Hague and Nicolas Roy are likely to receive offer sheets.
The Golden Knights are going to have to free up cap space somehow to avoid this from occurring. If they are unable to by the summer, don't be surprised to see these two end up inking deals elsewhere. Keep in mind, the Golden Knights would have a lot of trouble matching any offers.
Hague is a 6-foot-6 left-handed defenseman who has the potential to be a true top-four defenseman. Thus, there should be plenty of teams interested in him In 52 games this season, he had four goals to go along with 10 assists.
Roy, on the other hand, is a young center who just had himself a breakout season. In 78 games, he scored 15 goals and recorded 39 points. Teams in need of a middle-six center should consider targeting the 25-year-old after the year he just put together.
