NHL Rumors: Barry Trotz Now In Talks With 4 Teams

Barry Trotz is still the hottest name out there for teams on the hunt for a new head coach. Several teams have been tied to him thus far, and now we can add the Detroit Red Wings to the list. 

Elliotte Friedman has reported on Hockey Night in Canada, that the Red Wings have initiated talks with Trotz, and join the other three teams that he's had conversations with, the Vegas Golden Nights, Winnipeg Jets and Philadelphia Flyers. 

Friedman also says that the Dallas Stars may be the next team to enter the fray.

Trotz will definitely be doing his due diligence on his suitors, as he has apparently told teams that he will not be making a quick decision.

“From what I understand, Barry Trotz has let it be known to teams that he’s not in a hurry to make his choice,” Friedman said. “He won’t make his decision until he’s sure it’s right for himself and his family."
