NHL Rumors: Big Changes On The Way For Capitals

For the fourth straight season, the Washington Capitals have been knocked out of the first round of the NHL playoffs. It's starting to become clear that the Caps just aren't looking like a contender at this juncture. With this, we should see multiple changes to their current roster for the 2022-23 campaign.

Now, that doesn't automatically mean that the Capitals are going to go into a full-on rebuild. With the club having veteran stars like Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, and John Carlson locked up for several more seasons, they of course want to remain competitive. However, seeing other supporting players moved wouldn't be all that surprising. The team simply needs to switch things up.

With all of this, all hockey fans should keep an eye on the Capitals this offseason. Changes seem to be coming because they simply can't remain stagnant. Let's see what they end up doing this summer.
