NHL Rumors: Bruins Linked To Golden Knights Defenseman

According to Kevin Paul Dupont, the Boston Bruins are expected to target Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alec Martinez this offseason.

Dupont also noted that the Bruins had an interest in Martinez last summer before he re-signed with Vegas. However, with the Golden Knights needing to clear up cap space, they could be forced to move the veteran defenseman. Thus, this could open the door to Boston pursuing him again.

However, it's also important to note that the Bruins are much stronger on the left side of their defense after the Hampus Lindholm trade. Any potential Martinez move would force the Bruins to trade one of Derek Forbort, Matt Grzelcyk, or Mike Reilly.

Alas, we will have to wait and see if the Bruins and Golden Knights strike a deal this summer.
