NHL Rumors: Canadiens Linked To Veteran Defenseman
According to Marco D'Amico, the Montreal Canadiens are likely to pursue Anton Stralman if he hits the free agency market this summer.
Although Stralman has expressed interest to stay with the Arizona Coyotes, both sides haven't come to terms on a deal. Thus, the possibility of the 35-year-old becoming a UFA is certainly there.
Stralman showed this season that he can be effective on a rebuilding team, so perhaps there is a potential match with Montreal. In 74 games in the desert, he scored eight goals and added 15 assists. His leadership and overall experience would also be good to have around while the Canadiens go through their rebuild. Let's see if this leads to a summer signing.
