NHL Rumors: Canucks To Consider Re-Signing Forward
According to Rob Simpson of Vancouver Hockey Now, the Vancouver Canucks will consider re-signing Brandon Sutter for the 2022-23 season if he's healthy.
Sutter missed the entirety of the 2021-22 campaign due to long-term COVID symptoms. Yet, he has been making progress with his health since then, so we could see the 33-year-old back on the ice soon. However, if the Canucks do decide to bring him back, it would need to be on a very cheap contract.
Sutter could be a decent player to re-sign. He's known for his solid penalty-killing ability and would give the Canucks another bottom-six option. We will have to wait and see if the veteran returns from here.
